In Indian, masala means spices, and chai means tea. True to its name, this Danodan Masala Chai is rich, warming, sweet, savory, and robust.
True, many brands make a pre-made chai. However, using whole ingredients makes this scratch recipe well worth the effort, and adds extra nutritional benefits too. Additionally, Danodan organic CBD adds natural herbal notes, sweetness, and cannabinoids for a variety of health benefits.
Don’t have every ingredient? That’s ok! Recipes for traditional chai masala vary a lot, so feel free to include or omit various spices based on what you have and what you like.
Additionally, if you don’t have loose black tea, just cut open a spare bag of black tea and dump it in!
Makes 1 Serving
1 c water
½ cinnamon stick
¼” slice fresh ginger root
4 cardamom pods
5 fennel seeds
1 tbsp loose black tea
