Danodan vs. CBD Isolate: What’s the difference?

Let’s face it: all CBD products are not created equal. There are many other kinds of CBDs out there; one of them is a CBD isolate, which is a highly processed product that contains only CBD. Danodan’s patented full-spectrum and water-soluble CBD is unlike anything else on the market. When it comes to Danodan vs. CBD isolate, there’s really no contest; our products fully represent the beautiful hemp we use, bringing you all of the therapeutic benefits to help on your journey to well-being.

Just last weekend, we received an amazing (and completely unsolicited) testimonial from a new Danodan devotee, who shared how Danodan is helping them achieve the first good sleep they’ve ever had. For purposes of anonymity, this person has requested to be referred to as Hagbard Celine (amazing alias, BTW).

Here’s what Hagbard said to us about how Danodan has changed their life:

Howdy!Danodan CBD on a nightstand next to a lamp and glass of water.

I’ve been using your CBD tinctures for about 6 weeks now, and I have been amazed how much it has helped me with several of my health problems. Most importantly, I am getting very good sleep now for essentially the first time in my life — and I’m 63 years old!  I have a circadian rhythm disorder, and your product is literally the first thing that has ever helped me sleep. My doctor is astonished at the difference.

My question is: how does your product compare with other CBD products I’ve seen that are usually called something like “nano-emulsified CBD oil.” Sometimes those are said to be water soluble and sometimes not. Is your process different or improved or better than these other kinds? I’m mainly asking because other folks ask me about it, since so far I am completely satisfied with your offering.

Thanks & keep up the good work!

Hagbard Celine

How cool is that? We here at Danodan are confident in the uniqueness and potency of our products, but then to hear a testimonial like that from Hagbard really affirms our efforts.

Here at Danodan, we don’t use nano-emulsification, but it is common in other CBD products. For a little more info, let’s explore this complex process.

What is nano-emulsification?

In nano-emulsification, a highly-refined CBD extract is stripped out of hemp biomass and broken down into very small parts. Like really, really small parts, about one billionth of a meter! These nano molecules are then able to suspend in a liquid into which they normally wouldn’t emulsify.

Nano-emulsification has its proponents. Some believe that, by breaking down the CBD into microscopic particles, it will increase absorption rates. However, it is also very possible that this rapid absorption will end abruptly, and the “let down” effect from nano-emulsified CBD can potentially be dramatic.

For example, if you are taking such a product to help manage your stress, it may relieve your stress quickly, but once it is all used up in your system, the stress could return equally as quick. In this sense, nano-emulsification is like the high fructose corn syrup of CBD: it is absorbed quickly, giving you potentially quick relief, but then you may crash just as quickly on the way down.

How is Danodan different?

Our process at Danodan is the exact opposite. As opposed to breaking down hemp into a hyper-isolated compound, we strive to create the most minimally-processed representation of whole hemp flowers as they are found in nature. We are lead by bakers who bake with the whole plant, not chemists who isolate it’s parts.

Over the course of several weeks, Danodan infuses organic whole hemp flowers into organic vegetable glycerin. Then we filter the resulting liquid to make it silky smooth. The result is a rich, sweet, and herbaceous whole-plant tincture you can enjoy without isolating CBD from all of the other good stuff found in our organic hemp flowers.

Danodan is a true reflection of the organic hemp flowers we start with. Of course there’s CBD in Danodan, and there are also the natural terpenes and other cannabinoids like CBN and CBG, exciting compounds we are just beginning to learn about. And there is also a very small amount of THC, far less than the 0.3% allowed under federal law.

And because Danodan uses vegetable glycerin for our infusions, our full spectrum of phytocannabinoids and terpenes are slowly released into your system, giving you mellow and lasting results. Learn more about the benefits of using glycerin here.

We are currently working hard to update our website and make our test results easier to see and understand. I will be creating a series of tutorials to help you easily understand the information on our test results, and I hope to have those out early next year. Trust me, they’re tricky. If you’d like to learn more about our test results in the meantime, drop me a line at andrew@danodan.com.

Here at Danodan, we’re committed to more than just making the most high-quality, whole hemp flower infusion on the market; we’re also dedicated to being transparent in all that we do. We are always here for our customers, to respond to your inquiries, hear your criticisms, and share your inspirational success stories (if you’ll let us, of course).

We truly believe that our product could change the lives of many people living with chronic conditions. We invite you to see if Danodan can help with your joint pain, your anxiety, or, like Hagbard, your sleep issues. And please drop us a line and tell us how it worked!
